Before using this equipment and to avoid personal injury,
carefully read and understand these instructions. If there is
anything you do not understand, DO NOT use this
equipment, contact the hire company for advice.
These instructions are not intended as a replacement for the
manufacturerʼs manual. You must use these instructions in
conjunction with the manufacturerʼs manual.
This equipment may only be operated by suitably trained
personnel.
Make sure you are aware of all safety requirements and that
this equipment is suitable for the task you wish to undertake.
The work area must be cordoned off from the general public
and bystanders.
This equipment must not be operated by persons who are
under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Do not use this
equipment if you are tired or unwell.
You MUST perform a risk assessment before using this
equipment to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
Wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment for the task
ahead.
Wear gloves when handling this equipment.
Steel toecap boots must be worn. Wear a
hard hat.
Do not wear loose jewellery or clothing that may get in the
way or become trapped in the equipment.
It is advised that all personnel who enter the cage wear
a suitable harness and restraint lanyard. There are
three lanyard anchorage points within the cage, DO NOT
connect more than one lanyard to each.
Inform everyone in the work area of what you are doing.
DO NOT drive this lift on any surface that could be damaged
by the drive wheels.
Do not use this equipment where there are overhead power
lines, close to ceilings or similar hazards.
GET FAMILIAR! You must understand how to switch this
machine OFF quickly in case of an emergency.
This equipment must not be used in wind conditions above
28 mph, (11.5 m/s, Beaufort scale 6; Large branches in
motion; whistling heard in telegraph wires; umbrellas used
with difficulty).
This equipment may only be used on smooth floors, which
a
re able to bear its weight and its load.
A competent person should remain close by whenever the
unit is being used, in case of an emergency.
The Genie GS-1932 is a personnel lift designed to raise a
maximum of two persons and tools to the required height.
Do not exceed the platforms SWL. Note that when used
outdoors, the lift must only be used with one person.
The unitʼs safe working load varies depending upon the
height you wish to reach, see chart.

Note that when used outdoors, only one person is permitted
to enter the unit.
The unit is designed for use only upon a smooth, flat and
level surface. Do not use on slopes or soft ground. Avoid
humps and potholes which could cause the unit to ʻgroundʼ.
It MUST NOT be used as a crane or to support any form of
load.
Do not use it for transporting loads or for towing/pushing.
The GENIE GS-1932 is powered by a 24V battery system
that will require charging.
There is a battery charge condition indicator on the control
panel. When the green indication lights fail to illuminate, the
batteries require recharging.
Note that a safety system prevents operation of the unit
when being charged.
