Making calls
Activating/deactivating speaker
mode
Activating while dialling
~ d Enter the number and press the
speaker key.
¤ You should inform your caller before you
use the speaker function so that they
know someone else is listening.
Switching between earpiece and
speaker mode
d Press the speaker key.
During a call, activate or deactivate speaker
mode.
If you wish to place the handset in the base/
charging cradle dur
ing a call:
¤ Press and hold the speaker key d while
placing the handset in the base.
Adjusting the earpiece/
speaker volume during a call
To adjust the earpiece or speaker volume
during a call:
q Use the control key to adjust the
volume (five lev
els).
Switching to mute
You can deactivate the microphone in your
handset during an external call.
v Press the mute key to mute the
handset.
Pr
ess the key again to reactivate
the microphone.
Battery status control during
a call
The battery charging state is shown on the
d
isplay symbol bar (
¢ page 4).
If during a call the battery status falls below
a level that could impair the quality of the
connection, the handset will beep at a
60-second interval and WARNING BATT is
displayed. If possible, the caller ID and the
repertory dialling memory are saved before
the handset loses power. If the handset
loses power the call is transferred to the
base in speaker mode.
Call by Call dialling
In idle mode:

Enter the number.
Press and hold the key.

Press the talk key.
Your telephone will automatically as a
prefix to the phone number.
In talk mode:
d Press the talk key.
Press a
nd hold the key.

Enter the number.

If the telephone is muted, no keys except
the mute key v and the end call key
