Upgrading to BRCM2.x
To install the BRCM2.x or to upgrade an existing D-Box to BRCM2.x, proceed as follows:
For PA0435 models, see “New Installation with D-Box Boards (For PA0435 Models)” on
page 17.
New Installation with D-Box Boards (For PA0422 Models)
To perform new installation with D-Box boards, proc

Notes: 1) The following installation instructions ar
e applicable to model numbers ending in
“212” or “222” or “212B” or “222B” or “012B” or “022B”.
2) For BRCM2.x connections, refer to “Appendix
A: BRCM2.x Communication
Diagram” on page 35. These connections vary significantly depending on the site
configuration.
1 Remove the single screw securing the lid of the BRCM2.x.
2 If the BRCM2.x has D-Box boards, remove the transformer connection to the D-Box board,
and disconnect the two cables to the field wiring board on the rear side of the field wiring tray.

3 Remove the tray assembly.
4 Mount the BRCM2.x on the wall and route the conduit and wiring to the knock-outs located on
the bottom of the D-Box chassis.
Note: This is based on the site-configuration-speci
fic BRCM2.x connections
(For more information, refer to “Appendix A: BRCM2.x Communication Diagram” on
page 35 for BRCM2.x connections).
