10.3 Inspection and Maintenance of lead cables and electrodes
10.3.1 The conduction of lead cables can be detected by using a multimeter through checking
each lead cable. The resistance of each cable from the electrode plug to the semi-circular
interface of lead cable connector should be less than 10 Ω. The integrity of the lead cables must
be checked regularly, and any damage to them will cause a false waveform on the ECG for
corresponding lead or all leads. Clean the lead wires with neutral solvent. Do not use
alcohol-containing cleaning agents or fungicides (do not immerse lead wire in the liquid for
disinfection).
10.3.2 Bending or knot will shorten the service life of the lead wire, please straighten out the lead
wire before connecting the electrode.
10.3.3 Electrodes shall be kept properly. After long-term use, due to corrosion and other reasons,
the electrode surface will be oxidized discoloration and then affecting signal acquisition, the
electrode shall be replaced.
10.4 Disposal of the product after scrapping
The disposal of packaging materials and end-of-life products must follow the local laws and
regulations. User shall dispose the scrap products and materials properly according to local laws
and regulations and try to support the classification recycling.
10.5 Others
