INSTRUCTIONS AND WIRING DIAGRAM FOR SMARTONE C EXTERNAL INPUT CABLES

NOTES
1. When using the 5V external input cable (PN# 2030-0305-01), the supply voltage applied to the Line Power +
wire must be 5.0 +/- 0.25 VDC. Applying a different voltage will either damage the SmartOne C or cause it to
function improperly/shutdown.
2. When using the 8-22 VDC external input cable (PN# 2030-0307-01), the supply voltage applied to the Line
Power + wire must be between 8.0 VDC and 22 VDC. If less than 8 VDC is applied, the regulator will not
function properly. If more than 22 VDC is applied, there is a strong possibility that the regulator inside the cable
will be damaged.
3. If directly connecting your source to Line Power +, the voltage must be 5.0 VDC.
4. This cable is designed to only work with 3.3 VDC logic. Do not use with 5 VDC logic devices.
5. Be certain that unused wires do not short to each other.
6. All ground wires are common; therefore, any ground can be used with any function.
7. Battery voltage is regulated differently internal to the SmartOne unit than Line Power voltage.
