Keep your Gmate® VOICE Blood Glucose Monitoring System clean. Clean and disinfect your Gmate®
VOICE Blood Glucose Monitoring System at least once per week by following the instructions on page
48 of this User Manual. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water both before and after
using the Gmate® VOICE Blood Glucose Monitoring System.
Cleaning and disinfecting your Gmate® VOICE Blood Glucose Monitoring System is important to
prevent the spread of diseases. Cleaning and disinfecting your Gmate® VOICE Blood Glucose
Monitoring System should be completed in two steps:
Step 1 – Clean the surfaces of the Gmate® VOICE Meter and lancing device of any blood, dirt, or any
visible residue with CaviWipes™ towelettes.
Step 2 – With a second CaviWipes™ towelette, disinfect the surfaces of the Gmate® VOICE Meter and
lancing device to kill blood borne pathogens such as Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or HIV.
