Neverusegasoline,gasoline‐typelanternfuel,
kerosene,charcoallighterfluid,orsimilarliquidstostart
or“freshenup”afireinthisstove.Keepallsuchliquids
wellawayfromthestovewhileinuse.
Do not throw this manual away. This manual has
important operating and maintenance instructions that
you will need at a later time. Always follow the
instructionsinthismanual.Readthemanualthoroughly.
Neverblockfreeairflowthroughtheopenventsofthe
stove.
Do not place clothing or other flammable items on or
nearthestove.
Keepforeignobjectsoutofthehopper.Besurethat
whenyouaddfueltothehopper,thepelletsorcorn
thatyouareusingisfreeofforeignmaterial.
The viewing door must be closed and latched during
normaloperation.
Thestovewillnotoperateduringapoweroutage.Ifan
outagedoesoccur,keepthestovedoorclosed,and
openawindowifanysmokespillsintotheroom.
Adequateverticalventpipeontheexhaustwillprevent
smokefromenteringthehome.
Do not operate the stove if the flame becomes dark and
sootyoriftheburnpotoverfillswithfuel.Turnthestove
off,inspect it, and callyour dealeror a qualified, trained
technician.
Disconnectthepowercordbeforeperformingany
maintenanceorrepairsonthestove.NOTE:Turning
thestove“off”doesnotdisconnectallpowerfromthe
stove.
CAUTION:Hotwhileinoperation.Keepchildren,clothing,
and furniture away. Contact may cause skin burns.
Educate all children of the danger of a high temperature
stove.Youngchildrenshouldbesupervisedwhentheyare
inthesameroomasthestove.
DO NOT open the viewing door during the start up
period.
Ifthestoveisinstalledinaroomwithoutairconditioning,
orinanareawheredirectsunlightcanshineontheunit,
itis possiblethis cancause thetemperatureof thestove
torisetooperationallevels;oneofthesensorscouldthen
make thestove starton its own. It is recommendedthat
the stove be unplugged when not in use for extended
amountsoftime(i.e.duringthesummermonths).
Do not unplug the stove if you suspect a malfunction.
Turn the stove off, inspect it, and call your dealer or
qualified,trainedtechnician.
Do not use an adapter plug or sever the grounding plug.
Do not use a GFCI plug or circuit.Do not route the
electricalcordunderneath,infrontof,oroverthestove.
Contact your local building officials to obtain a permit
and information on any installation restrictions or
inspection requirements in your area. Notify your
insurancecompanyofthisstoveaswell.
The exhaust system must be completely airtight and
properlyinstalled.Theexhaustventjointsmustbesealed
withRTV500°F(260°C)siliconesealant,andwithUL‐181‐
APfoiltape.
This unit must be properly installed to prevent the
possibility of a house fire. The instructions must be
strictly adhered to. Do not use makeshift methods or
compromiseintheinstallation.
Allow the stove to cool before carrying out any
maintenance or cleaning. Ashes must be disposed in a
metal container
with a tight lid and placed on a non‐
combustiblesurfacewellawayfromthehomestructure.
Yourstove requires periodic maintenance andcleaning.
Failure to maintain your stove may lead to smoke
spillage in your home, or even a more dangerous
situation.Refer to the MAINTENANCE SECTION of this
manual or our website for specific maintenance
instructions.
This stove is designed and approved for pelletized wood
fuel and corn only. Any other type of fuel burned in this
heater will void the warranty and safety listing, and may
resultinahazardouscondition.

V.,60Hzgroundedelectricaloutlet.
When installed in a mobile home, the stove must be
boltedtothefloor,have outsideairconnected(seepage
3), and NOT BE INSTALLED IN A BEDROOM (Per H.U.D.
requirements).Theintegrityof
thefloorandceiling must
bemaintained.Checkwithlocalbuildingofficials.
The exhaust system should be checked regularly.It is
recommended that the exhaust system be inspected
once a month, orfor everyton of pellets burned.Ata
minimum,even if burning less than a ton per year, the
exhaustshouldbecheckedtwiceaburningseason.
