Why my Graco D Series motor won't run?
    • D
      Destiny AguilarAug 15, 2025
Several factors can prevent the motor from running. Ensure the easy access door is fully closed and latched. Check that the pressure control knob isn't set to zero; turn it clockwise to increase pressure. Verify the electric outlet is providing power by testing it with a working device, and reset the circuit breaker or replace the fuse if needed. Inspect the sprayer's electric cord for damage, replacing it if necessary. If the pump is seized due to hardened paint or frozen water, thaw it completely and consult a professional if the motor still doesn't turn.

How to fix Graco D Series Paint Sprayer that runs but doesn't prime?
    • E
      elizabeth05Aug 18, 2025
If your sprayer runs but doesn't prime, try these solutions. Press the PushPrime button to dislodge any stuck inlet valve check ball. Ensure the Prime/Spray Valve is in the PRIME position until paint exits the drain tube. If using thick fluids, prime the pump with oil or water-based flushing fluid. Strain the paint to remove any debris. For thick or sticky paint, try momentarily turning the ON/OFF switch off and on. Clean the inlet strainer and ensure the suction tube is immersed in paint. Inspect the suction tube connection for cracks or vacuum leaks. Unscrew outlet valve, remove, and clean assembly if the outlet valve check ball is stuck.

What to do if my Graco D Series pump is primed but I don't get a good spray pattern?
    • P
      Patrick BeckAug 26, 2025
If your pump is primed but the spray pattern is poor, there are several possible solutions: * Clear any clogs from the spray tip. * Ensure the reversible spray tip is in the SPRAY position. * Strain the paint to remove debris. * Increase the pressure setting. * Clean or replace the InstaClean fluid filter or the spray gun fluid filter. * Replace the spray tip if it's too large or worn. * Replace the spray tip gasket and seal if they are worn or missing. * Clean the inlet strainer and ensure the suction tube is immersed in paint. * Replace the extension cord if it's too long or not heavy enough. * Thin the material if it is too thick. * Remove any extra sections of the airless hose.

If your Graco Paint Sprayer motor gets hot, runs intermittently, and shuts off, ensure the vent holes in the enclosure are clear and the sprayer is open to air. Replace the extension cord if it is too long or not a heavy enough gauge. If using an electrical generator, ensure it has a proper voltage regulator.
