Cause Remedy
Current measurement has detected that the motor
phase current sum is not zero.
• insulation failure in the cables or the motor
• Check the power cables and the motor.
9.4.4 Code 5 (Fault ID 40, Charging switch)
Cause Remedy
The charging switch is open, when the START
command is given.
• faulty operation
• component failure
• Reset the fault and restart.
• Contact the nearest distributor if the fault reoccurs.
9.4.5 Code 7 (Fault ID 60, Saturation)
Cause Remedy
Various causes:
• defective component
• brake resistor short circuit or overload
• It cannot be reset from keypad.
• Switch off power.
• Do not switch the power back on!
• Contact Grundfos.
• If this fault appears simultaneously with F1, check
the power cables and the motor.
9.4.6 Code 8 (Fault ID 600, System fault)
Cause Remedy
• Communication between control circuit and power
unit has failed.
• Reset the fault and restart.
• Contact the nearest distributor if the fault reoccurs.
9.4.7 Code 8 (Fault ID 601, System fault)
Cause Remedy
• Communication interference between control
circuit and power unit, but it is still working.
• Reset the fault and restart.
• Contact the nearest distributor if the fault reoccurs.
9.4.8 Code 8 (Fault ID 602, System fault)
Cause Remedy
• Watchdog has reset the CPU. • Reset the fault and restart.
• Contact the nearest distributor if the fault reoccurs.
9.4.9 Code 8 (Fault ID 603, System fault)
Cause Remedy
• Auxiliary power voltage in power unit is too low. • Reset the fault and restart.
• Contact the nearest distributor if the fault reoccurs.
