BATTERY IS DANGEROUS. A BATTERY GENERATES EXPLOSIVE GASES DURING
NORMAL OPERATION. THEREFORE IT IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE THAT
EACH TIME BEFORE USING YOUR CHARGER YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS
EXACTLY.
Toreduceriskofbatteryexplosion,followtheseinstructionsandthosepublishedby
batterymanufacturerandmanufacturerofanyequipmentyouintendtouseinvicinity
ofbattery.Reviewcautionarymarkingontheseproductsandonengine.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Use of an attachment not recommended by the manufacturer may result in a risk of fire,
shock or injury.
2. To reduce the risk of damage to electric plug and cord, pull by plug rather than cord
when disconnecting the chargers.
3.Anextensioncordshouldnotbeusedunlessabsolutelynecessary.Useofimproper
extensioncordcouldresultsinariskoffireandelectricshock.Ifanextensioncordmust
be used, make sure:
a)Thatpinsonplugofextensioncordarethesamenumber,sizeandshapeasthoseof
the plug on the charger;
b)Thattheextensioncordisproperlywiredandingoodelectricalcondition;and
c) That wire size is large enough for ac ampere rating of the charger as specified below

4. Do not operate charger with a damaged cord or plug.
5.Donotoperatethechargerifithasreceivedasharpblow,beendropped,orotherwise
damaged in any way.
6. Do not attempt to disassemble the charger.
7. To reduce the risk of injury unplug charger from outlet before attempting any
maintenance or cleaning. Turning off controls alone will not reduce the risk.
8.Donotexposechargertorainorsnow.
PERSONAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Adhere to the following personal safety precautions when installing or working with the
chargers:
1.Someoneshouldbewithinvoicerangeorcloseenoughtocometoyouraidwhenyou
work near a lead-acid battery.
2.Haveplentyoffreshwaterandsoapnearbyincasebatteryacidcontactsskin,clothing,
or eyes.
3.Wearcompleteeyeprotectionandclothingprotection.Avoidtouchingeyeswhile
working near a battery.
4.Ifbatteryacidcontactsskinorclothing,washthemimmediatelywithsoapandwater.If
acid enters the eye, flood the eye with cold, running water for at least ten minutes and
get medical attention.
5.Neversmokeorallowanopenflameinthevicinityofthebattery.
6.Donotdropametaltoolontothebattery.Itmayspark,shortcircuitthebatteryandmay
causeanexplosion.
7.Removeallpersonalmetalitemssuchasrings,bracelets,necklaces,andwatcheswhen
working near a lead-acid battery. A battery can produce short circuit currents high
enoughtoweldaringortheliketometal,causingasevereburn.
