Summary of Method
Bromine residuals react with DPD (N,N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine) to form a
pink color which is proportional to the total bromine concentration. The range of
analysis is extended in the high range procedure by adding additional powder to
increase the ratio of indicator to sample.
