3.2.8 24 Bottle Discrete Sample Kit (Optional)
The 24-bottle Discrete Sample Kit is located in the sample storage
compartment. It enables the sampler to collect samples in 24 individual
polyethylene bottles that have a capacity of 475 mL.
This type of sampling allows you to take a closer look at the wastewater
composition on a repetitive time cycle and pinpoints the time interval during
which an upset condition occurred.
The distributor arm assembly positions over 24 bottles and sequentially
distributes a sample of a preselected adjustable volume to the 24 bottles in a
given time period.
The sampler can be programmed to take sequential 24-bottle samples in both
samples per bottle mode and bottles per sample mode (see Figure 9).
