1. Slide the cover to the side. 2. Remove the batteries.
3. Insert new batteries. Ensure the polarity is
correct.
4. Slide the cover back into place.
NOTE
Product damaged caused by closing the EFL 30 / EFL 30 C without batteries.
If the EFL 30 / EFL 30 C is closed without batteries, it can no longer be opened (with-
out force).
Therefore:
Replace the batteries immediately after removing them from the battery compart-
ment and be sure to keep EFL 30 / EFL 30 C open.
After changing the battery, check the locking status and, if necessary, perform a
locking cycle by holding up an authorised user key in order to lock the lock again.
If the battery was changed with battery status “very, very low” in deadbolt lock mode,
a “privileged” user key is required for locking.
