Digital BitstreamIndicators
Whenadigitalsourceisplaying,theAVR525 senses
thetypeofbitstreamdatathatispresentUsingthis
information,thecorrectsurroundmodewillautomati
callybeselectedForexample,DFSbitstreamswill
causetheunitto switchtoDTSdecoding,andDolby
DigitalbitstreamswillenableDolbyDigitaldecoding
WhentheunitsensesPCMdatafromCDsandLDs,
itwillallowtheappropriatesurroundsourcesto be
selectedmanuallySincetherangeofavailablesur
roundmodesis dependentonthetypeofdigitaldata
thatispresent,theAVR525 usesdisplayindicatorsto
letyouknowwhattypeofsignalispresentlhis will
helpyouto understandthechoiceof modes
lb helpyouseewhichtypeofdigitalsourceisplaying,
theSurroundModeIndicators[] incombination

NightMode
AspecialfeatureofDolbyDigitalistheNightmode,
whichenablesspeciallyencodedDolbyDigitalinput
sourcesto beplayedbackwithflJlldigitalintelligibilily
whilereducingtheminimumpeaklevelby 1/4 to 1/3
lhis preventsabruptlyloudtransitionsfromdisturbing
others,withoutreducingtheimpactof thedigital
sourcelhe Nightmodeis availableonlywhenDolby
Digitalsignalswithspecialdataarebeingplayed
