Step6. PlugallcomponentsintoACpoweroutlets.Ihe outletsontheback
oftheAVR525shouldbeusedorT/yforlow-currentproducts,such
asCDorDVDplayers,andthetotalshouldnotexceed100watts.

Step7. Selectdigitalinputs:IfyourDVDisconnededtoCoax1, noadjust
mentisneeded.Foranyotherdigital-deviceconnections,usethe
frontpanelDigitalSelectbuttonandthearrowbut'tonstoselectan
opticalorcoaxdigitalinput(seepages20 and27).
Step8. Selecta surroundmode:PresstheSurroundModebuttononthe
frontpaneltoselectDolby'ProLogic II Movie.('¢oumayselect
othermodeslaterasyoubecomefamiliarwiththeAVR525;see
pages20 21 and28 29.)
Step9.Configurespeakers:Noactionisneededifyouhavefive"small"
satellitetypespeakersandasubwoo%Otherwise,presstheSpeaker
buttonandthentheSetandarrowbut'_onstoselectthecorrect
speakerchoicesforyoursystem(seepages21 23).
Step10.UseEzSetTM to set outputlevels:SettheBalanceto12 o'clock,
andtheVolumeto lOdB.Sitinthelisteningpositionandholdthe
remoteinfrontof youat shoulderlevel,pointingattheAVR525.
PresstheSPLbut'_onfor3 seconds,andreleaseitwhentheLED
flashesamber.Press"5"or"T'to indicatethenumberofspeakers.
