In order to retain an acoustic type sound, Headway recommends
avoiding electric guitar type compressor pedals, overdrive/distortion
or wah pedals for acoustic instruments.
A more electric guitar like sound may be achieved via a magnetic
pickup, e.g. SAM-1
In order to retain an acoustic type sound, use FX sparingly.
A Noise Gate pedal may be added to the end of an FX chain to cut
hiss noise when no signal is live. However, the noise returns once
the signal is underway

CAUTION: Take particular care to ensure Send & Return
sockets and Insert Point remains free from a build up of dust,
dirt or corrosion which may prevent
the channel from operating
Headway recommends that jacks socket contacts be kept clean to
maintain working operation. Lubricate a jack plug with Switch
Cleaner (with Lubricant), or WD40 and plug in and out of the
sockets repeatedly (30 seconds) to clean contacts
