Check that battery connector terminals (+ -) are in place, pinched on
tight and in good condition
If EDB-2 VAP has become overheated, turn off, cool it down and try
turning on a little later to restart, checking leads and connected
devices
Check if batteries are hot and then remove/change. Or change
power source to either DC PSU, or battery use. If this occurs more
than once, refer to Headway Music Audio or approved electronics
technician
Check under valve cover that valve is in place at correct 12AX7
specification, connected to it’s base with all terminals plugged in
and that the valve lights up when EDB-2 VAP and valve switch are
switched on and are powered by correct EDB-VAP/PSU Power
Supply
Use a meter/cable tester to check jack leads and solder connections
for resistance, capacitance, cross bleed and good connection
Make sure jack probes are straight and that the tip contacts are not
misshapen in any way
Check that XLR leads are wired correctly as standard. See:
Electrical Specifications 19.2
If a socket is set too deeply recessed into an instrument may not
