IN CASE OF DIFFICULTY
INTRODUCTION
This part of the Manual will help you
locate and correct any difficulty which
might occur in your Amplifier. This
information is divided into three
sections. The first section contains
suggestions of a general nature in
the fo 11 owi-n9 areas:
A. Visual checks and inspection.
B. Precautions to observe when
bench testing.
C. How to determine -- th-e- a-rea of
the Amplifier in which the
difficulty is located (

D. Locating and correcting both the
cause and the effect of a
difficulty (

The second section consists of a Trouble-
shooting Chart. This chart calls out
specific problems that may occur and
lists one or more conditions or
components that could cause each difficulty.
The capacitor C numbers, transistor Q
numbers and the diode D numbers, are
identified in this chart by the same
numbers that are used on the Schematic
Diagram . . X•Ray Views (Page 61) are also
provided to help you locate the
components and test points.
The third section consists of Stage-by-
Stage Signal Injection (hum) tests in
chart form. These tests are arranged in
numerical order. They start with the
power amplifier output circuits and
progress back toward the input circuits,
one stage at a time.
NOTE: In an extreme case where you are
unable to resolve a difficulty, refer
to the Service and Warranty sections of
the
