C The machine is equipped with a four-stroke engine and must be operated exclusively
with pure petrol WITHOUT oil!
WARNING! B
Petrol is highly flammable and explosive, as well as its fumes. You can be seriously
burned or injured while refilling with petrol.
Note: I
Fuel can damage paint and some types of plastic. Be careful not to spill fuel when
filling your fuel tank. Damage caused by spilled fuel is not covered under the Warranty.
Refuel outdoors only, before starting the engine and do not smoke while refueling or handling
fuel. Never remove the cap of the fuel tank or add petrol while the engine is running or when
the engine is hot. If petrol is spilled, do not attempt to start the engine but move the machine
away from the area of spillage and avoid creating any source of ignition until petrol vapors have
dissipated. Replace all fuel tanks and container caps securely. Before tipping the machine (to
maintain or drain oil) remove fuel from tank.
C never fill fuel tank indoors, never with engine running or until the engine has been
allowed to cool for at least 15 minutes after running. Do not use fuel which is older
then 14 days. Old fuel in the fuel tank is the leading cause of carburetor damage.
ADDING FUEL
1. Refuel only outdoors.
2. Remove the fuel tank cap (fig. 4).
3. Fill the fuel tank to no more than 1 cm below bottom of filler neck.
4. Do not overfill. Wipe up spilled fuel before starting the engine.
5. Close the fuel tank cap (fig. 4).
ENGINE OIL
CAUTION! A
This engine is delivered without oil, be sure to put oil in the engine before the starting.
Top-up the recommended oil type before first use.
Improper refilling or low oil levels can lead to irreparable engine damage.
• Only use the recommended types of engine oils with the appropriate performance
class.
(The recommended oil type is given in the Specifications)
C DO NOT MIX DIFFERENT OILS!
OIL LEVEL CHECK
C Only check oil level with cold engine.
1. Place engine level. Check the oil level with the engine stopped and cooled down.
2. Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick (fig. 5a) and wipe it clean.
3. Insert the oil filler cap/dipstick into the oil filler neck until it stops, but do not screw it in.
Then remove it. Now read off the oil level (fig. 6) on the dipstick.
