C Please dispose of used motor oil in a manner that is compatible with the environment.
We suggest you take used oil in a sealed container to your local recycling center or
service station for reclamation. Do not throw it in the trash or pour it on the ground
or down a drain.
6. Reinstall the drain bolt
(fig. 5B). With the engine in a level position, fill to the upper limit
mark (fig. 6).
C Running the engine with a low oil level can cause engine damage.
7. Reinstall the oil filler cap/dipstick securely (fig. 5a).
C Wash your hands with soap and water after handling used oil.
C Always before the start of the season or every 100 working hours let check and
replenish working fluids and lubricants in an authorized service center.
AIR FILTER
A dirty air filter will restrict air flow to the carburetor and cause poor engine performance.
Inspect the air filter each time the engine is operated. You will need to clean the air filter more
frequently if you operate the engine in very dusty areas.
CAUTION! A
Operating the engine without an air filter, or with a damaged air filter, will allow dirt
to enter the engine, causing rapid engine wear. This type of damage is not covered.
1. Remove the air cleaner cover
(fig. 15).
2. Remove the element (fig. 16) and check the element for dirt or obstruction. Replace filter if
frayed, torn, damaged or unable to be cleaned.
3. Wash filter element in soap water. DO NOT USE GASOLINE!
4. Air dry filter element.
5. Place a few drops of SAE30 oil on the foam filter and squeeze tightly to remove any excess oil.
6. Reinstall the air cleaner element and the cover (fig. 15).
WARNING! B
Do not use gasoline or other types of fuels or flammable solvents to clean air filter.
It may cause fire or explosion.
C Never run the engine without the air cleaner. Rapid engine wear will result from
contaminants such as dust and dirt being drawn through the carburetor into the engine.
Note: I
Replace filter if frayed, torn, damaged or unable to be cleaned.
