DRIVE CONTROL - ONLY HECHT 5041 S, 5045 S
1. With the motor running, press the travel lever (fig. 15A). The mower will begin to move forward.
2. Release the Self-drive control handle until the lawn mower doesn’t go forward.
GRASS CATCHER
CAUTION! A
Danger - risk of injury! Only remove or attach the grass catcher with the motor
switched off and the blade stationary.
A fill indicator flap is located on the collection basket (fig. 16). As soon as the basket is full
and the air stops flowing through it and the flap closes.
Empty and clean the basket and check that the basket’s mesh is well permeable to air.
Emptying catcher before filling the maximum (at 50-70% content) will improve the collection
of grass.
C IMPORTANT! Keep the grille under the indicator flap clean. If the grid is clogged
with dirt, the damper may not work properly.
DECK
The underside of the mower deck should be cleaned after each use to prevent a buildup of grass
clippings, leaves, dirt or other matter. If this debris is allowed to accumulate, it will invite rust and
corrosion, and may prevent proper operating.
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! B
Never make adjustments to the mower without stopping the motor and removing
the safety key.
Your mower is equipped with a central height adjustment lever.
To change the height, squeeze adjuster lever (fig. 17A) away from the motor, moving up
or down to selected height. All wheels will be in the same height.
FUNCTION
