WORK AREA
• Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
• Check the landscape where the machine will be used and remove all objects such as stones,
toys, sticks and wires, which could be caught and thrown away. Damage of the machine or
operator’s injury could be caused.
• Do not operate this machine in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases, or dust. Machine create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
• Keep children and bystanders away while operating the machine. Distractions can cause you
to lose control.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATION OF THE MOWER
Know your tool. Read owner’s manual carefully. Learn its applications and
limitations as well as the specific potential hazards related to this tool. Familiarise
yourself with the controls on the machine and how to use them.
WARNING! This machine can sever hands and feet as well as throw objects. Failure
to follow the safety regulations can lead to severe injury.
WARNING - Petrol is highly flammable.
• While mowing, always wear substantial footwear and long trousers. Do not operate the
equipment when barefoot or wearing open shoes.
• Thoroughly inspect the area where the equipment is to be used and remove all objects such as
stones, toys, sticks and wires, which can be thrown by the machine from the work area.
• Do not operate the engine in a confined space where dangerous carbon monoxide can collect.
• Before using the machine, always check, that all start inhibits and controls requiring operator
presence, are fully functional (eg. safety lever of engine stop).
• Before using the machine do always a visual check - the device for stop the blades works
correctly.
• Mow only in daylight or in good artificial light.
• Avoid operating the equipment in moist or even wet grass, where feasible. Mow only dry
grass. Too long or wet grass leads to blocking and overload the engine. To avoid stirring up
the dust, mow the grass best when it´s is dry, but the soil is still moist. Dust causes the air filter
pollution and this causes higher fuel consumption. Due to lack of maintenance the engine can
be damaged.
• Never use the machine when raining and when there is the risk of stroke lightning.
• For safety reasons, the machine may not be used as a drive unit for other work tools or tool
kits of any kind.
• On the slopes keep firm footing at all times.
• Walk, never run.
• For wheeled rotary machines, mow across the face of slopes, never up and down.
• Exercise extreme caution when changing direction on slopes.
• Do not mow excessively steep slopes. Danger of injury by overturning machine. Maximum
allowed slope is 15 °.
• Be careful when using the lawnmower near verges, ditches, or banks. Machine can suddenly
turn over if a wheel is over the edge of a cliff or ditch, or if an edge caves in.
• Use extreme caution when reversing or pulling the lawn mower towards you.
• Stop the blade(s) if the lawn mower has to be tilted for transportation when crossing surfaces
other than grass, and when transporting the lawn mower to and from the area to be mowed.
