MAINTENANCE
Good maintenance is essential for safe, economical and trouble-free operation.
WARNING! Improper maintenance, or failure to correct a problem before operation
or use of non-conforming replacement components, can cause malfunction in
which you can be seriously hurt or killed.
Disconnect the spark plug before performing any service on the machine. Wait till
all moving parts are completely stopped.
• Always follow the inspection and maintenance recommendations and schedules in this manual.
• To help you properly care for your engine, the following pages include a maintenance schedule,
routine inspection procedures, and simple maintenance procedures using basic hand tools.
Other service tasks that are more difficult, or require special tools, must be performed by an
authorized service centre.
• The maintenance schedule applies to normal operating conditions. If you operate your engine
under severe conditions, such as sustained high-load or high-temperature operation, or use in
unusual wet or dusty conditions, consult your servicing dealer for recommendations applicable
to your individual needs and use.
• After finishing season carefully clean the machine and all metal and moving parts lubricate by
grease or oil so that the machine would be prepared for next season. Before next operation
with the machine carefully check all the components.
• Frequently check fastening of all screws, nuts etc. in order to keep the machine in safe working
condition.
• Once in the season let inspect and maintain the machine in authorised service center.
WARNING! Failure to properly follow maintenance instructions and precautions
can cause you to be seriously hurt or killed. Always follow the procedures and
precautions in this owner‘s manual.
MACHINE MAINTENANCE
• Careful handling and regular cleaning ensure that the machine remains functional and efficient
for a long time.
• Keep the machine in good condition, if necessary change warning and instruction labels on
the machine.
• Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition.
• To reduce the fire hazard, keep the engine, silencer and petrol storage area free of all debris or
excessive grease.
• Regularly check the blade for damage.
• Always ensure that the ventilation openings are kept clear of debris.
• Check the grass catcher frequently for wear or deterioration.
• Before each use, check (eventually clean) the area under the cover of V-belt from dirt. A large
number of grass residue can cause a falling of V-belt.
• Replace worn or damaged parts for safety. Use only original spare parts.
Be careful during adjustment of the mower to prevent entrapment of the fingers
between moving blades and fixed parts of the mower.
