4. Eventually adjust the tension by turning the lock nut with a suitable spanner (fig. 3D).
5. Attach the cable using the cable-clamp (fig. 5).
ADJUSTMENT FOR AN APPROPRIATE ANGLE
1. Pull the locking lever opening.
2. Rotating the upper handle centered of the angle adjusting gear for adjusted a appropriate
angle into the scope 20º to +20º (5 position: 20º/-10º/0º/+10º/+20º) as the fig. 4 shown.
3. Push the locking lever closed to connect the lower handle and the upper handle.
MOUNTING AND DISMOUNTING THE GRASS CATCHER
1. To fit: Raise the rear cover and hitch the grass catcher on rear of mower (fig. 6).
2. To remove: grasp and lift rear cover, remove grass catcher.
STARTER HANDLE
Disconnect the spark plug boot. Press stop control handle. Pull gently the starter handle toward
the handle and put it to the rope guide (fig. 7). Connect the spark plug boot.
BUILT-IN BOX
You can push the button (fig. 8A) to open it, and then press the cover to lock it (fig. 8B).
Models without electric starter - you can put tools such as spanner, screwdriver, and also put
drinking bottle in these box.
Models with electric starter - the box contains a battery (fig. 8C).
BEFORE STARTING
For your safety, and to maximize the service life of your equipment, it is very important to take
a few moments to check the engine condition before operating Be sure to take care of any
problem you find, or have your servicing dealer to correct it before you operate the engine.
WARNING! Improper maintenance to this engine, or failure to correct a problem
before operation, can cause a malfunction in which you can be seriously hurt or
killed.
Always perform a preoperation inspection before each operation, and correct any
problem.
1. Fuel level
2. Oil level
3. Air cleaner (if equipped)
4. General inspection: Check for fluid leaks and loose or damaged parts
5. Check the equipment powered by this engine.
6. Charge the battery.
REFUELING
Use only clean, fresh, unleaded regular grade gasoline, with minimum octane rating - see
Specifications. This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline. Unleaded gasoline
produces fewer engine and spark plug deposits and extends exhaust system life. The fuel must
not be older than 14-days.
