• Petrol: We recommend using unleaded petrol with an octane rating of at least 89 (E10).
Do not use petrol with increased alcohol content (ethanol).
• Oil: We recommend using HECHT 2T oil or other oils for high-speed, air-cooled two-
stroke engines meeting JASO FD/API TC and higher.
RECOMMENDED MIXED FUEL RATIO
• 40:1 - i.e. 40 parts petrol per 1 part oil (e.g. 1000 ml of petrol : 25 ml of oil)
ADDING FUEL
CAUTION! A
Turn off the engine. Never remove the fuel filler cap or refuel if the engine is running
or if it is hot. After stopping the engine, wait at least 15 minutes until the engine
cools down.
• Always mix the oil and petrol in a clean, designated container.
• Fill with half of the petrol, and then shake the entire amount of oil and the container. Then
add the rest of the petrol and shake it again.
• Remove the fuel tank neck cap (fig. 6) (a).
• Fill the petrol to a maximum of 1 cm below the bottom of the neck.
• Do not overfill! Remove the spilled petrol before starting the engine.
• Put all tank and transport container caps back and tighten.
CAUTION! A
Never refill the petrol in a room.
• Do not smoke and do not use open fire while refilling.
• Make sure you are away from heat, sparks and flames.
• If the petrol is spilled, do not start the engine. Immediately wipe off the spilled petrol.
Move the machine from the spill area and wait for the fuel vapours to disperse. Avoid
the possibility of fire.
• Do not use petrol containing ethanol. To protect the engine, we recommend using a fuel
stabilizer available at petrol stations.
• Ensure that no water and dirt get into the fuel tank.
• The fuel must not be older than 14 days.
Note: I
Petrol can damage paint and certain types of plastics. When filling the fuel tank, be
careful and do not spill the petrol. Damage caused by spillage of petrol is not covered by
the warranty.
CHAIN OIL
CAUTION! A
The saw is not filled with oil. It is essential to fill with oil before using.
We recommend using HECHT CHAINOIL or other biodegradable oils from other
manufacturers.
