WARNING! B
Never cut with the top of the bar tip. There is a high risk of kickback towards you
(fig. 21).
- Never stand over the chainsaw. Some part of the body could come into contact with
the spinning chain due to inertia in the case of kickback or chain breakage.
- Always stand firmly with both feet on the ground and remove the cut material in time.
Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands.
- Do not cut if you need to reach out. Never out of the ladder or above the shoulder level.
- It must be secured against spinning when cutting round timber.
- Do not try to cut thicker materials and logs with one cut.
- Always be aware of which side the tension is on and cut the side of the material which
is stressed roughly to one third when cutting (e.g. the underside of loose-hanging
branches, the upper side of logs leaning from both sides, etc.). Finish the cutting from
the other side only after cutting from the side which the stress can be on. This prevents
the bar and chain clamping (fig. 22) and (fig. 23)
- Be aware of where the cut off material will fall or where it can be thrown off.
- Be careful about the cut branches being back-sprung!
