Fig. 4: Acquisition window with live image
To acquire images with ART Mean, press on the touch panel
or press and hold the button on the joystick for approximately two
seconds.
When ART Mean has been activated the live image will be
displayed on the left side of the acquisition window, while the
image on the right is the averaged ART Mean image. The
progression bar increases as the ART Mean counts to the adjusted
number of frames.
To avoid blurry images, select high ART Mean numbers.
Images can be acquired before ART Mean reaches the
adjusted number of frames. Under certain circumstances, e.g.
nystagmus, ART Mean processing might fail. In these cases,
acquire images without ART Mean.
Watch the small live image for an even illumination.
Keep your hands on the device and readjust the camera as
needed.
When the adjusted number of frames is reached, either press
“Acquire” on the touch panel or push the button on the joystick.
The image is acquired.
To acquire several images, press “Acquire” or the button on the
joystick again.
If you have acquired multiple images and have not closed the
acquisition window for an extended period, click “Save images” to
free up memory in the image data buffer and to prevent data loss
in case of PC and/or hardware problems.
To switch off ART Mean, press
on the touch panel or press
and hold the button on the joystick for approximately two seconds.
In the menu bar, click “Save images” .
