NOTE
Ÿ Do not operate the vehicle with the fuel valve
in the “RES” ( ) position after refilling. You
may run out of fuel, with no reserve.
Ÿ Do not keep the fuel valve between “ON” ( )
and “OFF” ( ) position while driving, since
this may drain reserved fuel from the tank.
PRE-RIDE INSPECTION
You should conduct pre-ride inspection
before riding the vehicle to enhance riding
comfort and safety.
Clean your vehicle regularly. It protects the
surface finish. Avoid cleaning with products
that are not specifically designed for vehicle
surfaces.
Inspect your vehicle very day before you start
the engine. The items listed here will only take
a few minutes, and in the long run they can
save time, expense and possibly your life.
Please follow the tips as given below:
Ÿ Engine oil level-Check and top up engine
oil if required (page 30). Check for leaks.
Ÿ Fuel level-Ensure sufficient fuel is available
in your fuel tank for journey (page 14).
Check for leaks.
Ÿ Front and Rear brakes-Check operation.
Adjust free play if necessary (page 41).
Ÿ Tyres-Check condition and pressure
(page 46).
Ÿ Clutch-Check for smooth operation.
Adjust free play (page 36).
Ÿ Drive chain-Check condition and
slackness (page 37). Adjust and lubricate if
necessary.
Ÿ Throttle-Check for smooth opening and
closing in all steering positions (page ). 36
Ÿ Lamps and Horn-Check that headlamp,
tail/stop lamp, turn signal lamps and horn
function properly.
Ÿ Rear view mirror-Ensure that the rear
view mirror gives a good rear view when you
are sitting on the vehicle.
Ÿ i3s Switch-Make sure whether the i3s
switch is in “ON” or “OFF” position (page
16).
Ÿ i3s system-Make sure that i3s system is
functional properly (page 16).
Ÿ Side stand indicator-make sure that the
side stand is up. If it is in down position the
side stand indicator (page 15) will glow on
the speedometer panel.
Ÿ Fitting & Fasteners-Check & tighten if
necessary.
Ÿ Steering-Check for smooth action for
easy maneuverability.
Ÿ Air suction valve-Make sure all tube
connections are secured properly (page 53).
