HERO Super Splendor - Air Cleaner, Carburetor, and Valve Clearance

Air cleaner
The air cleaner element is of Dry Paper
Pleated type and it should be serviced at
regular intervals (page 26). When riding in
dusty areas, more frequent service may be
necessary.
Ÿ Remove the side cover (1) by removing side
cover screw (2). Pull out lug (3) & push the
cover towards rear.
Ÿ Remove the air cleaner cover screws (4) and
the cover (5).
Ÿ Pull out the air cleaner assembly (6) by
separating the mounting clamp (7) from
the clamp holder.

Ÿ Air cleaner cleaning
– Remove the air cleaner element (8) from
the element holder (9).
