Calculating Relative Centrifugal Acceleration
(RCA)
The relative centrifugal acceleration
can be
calculated

For
a
radius,
use the
distance between
the
journal shaft center line
and the
bottom
of
the centrifugal vessel
(see
"Rotors
and
Accessories"
at the end of
these operating
instructions).
Care
• Centrifuge, rotor
and
sleeves must
be
cleaned regularly, using
a
weak solution
of
soapy water
if
necessary.
•
In
the
event
of
glass breakage remove fragments
and
leaked centrifuging material
from centrifugal chamber
or
from rotor.
For this task,
the
centrifugal chamber
can be
taken
out
of
the
centrifuge.
Rubber inserts
in the
suspended trays must
be
replaced
as
glass
fragments embedded
in
these rubber inserts cause" further glass
breakage!
