ZENTRIFUGEN
•
if
infectious centrifuging material enters into
the
centrifugal chamber
or
rotor, these
are
to be
disinfected after cleaning.
Care
of
Rotors and Suspended trays (weekly)
To protect rotors and suspended trays against corrosion, they are
to be
cleaned using
a weak solution
of
soapy water,
if
required.
For additional corrosion protection, aluminium rotors
or
suspended trays
are to be
smeared lightly with
a
suitable anti-corrosion agent.
Suspended trays showing evidence of cracks or deformations must be
immediately replaced
in
complete sets!
Grease Journals
(if
required)
To keep journals
on
free-swinging rotors
in
gliding condition, thus achieving an even
swing-out
of
inserted suspended trays, these journals must
be
greased with
a
suitable
lubricating agent (Hettich 4051),
if
required.
Non-greased journals may cause operating faults (imbalance).
Check Sealing Ring
The sealing ring along
the top
edge
of the
centrifugal chamber
is to be
checked
for
damage (e.g. cuts, cracks, etc) and replaced
if
necessary
User Check (monthly)
Users need to check and ensure that the centrifuge
is
not visibly damaged.
In particular, the following points need
to be
checked:
•
motor mounting
•
true running
of
motor shaft
•
fault-free condition
of
rotors and suspended trays (no deformations or malformations)
•
bolting
