When the action level is set to 1.0 mg/cm2, the instrument will display results as shown in Figures 96 to

When the action level is set to anything but 1.0 mg/cm2, the instrument will display as “NEG” (for

Extended Reading Mode
Extended reading mode is used for occupational inspection work where the quantification of lower levels
of lead may be required. This usually entails longer reading times for the instrument. Extended Reading
Mode is broken down into four “sub” modes for the user: Stop at Set Level, Fixed Time, Unlimited Time,
and Stop at Statistics.
