Patient Helper Positioning
The patient helper in the patient transfer position is designed to help the patient lift
some of his/her weight so as to assist the nursing staff with their work. This position is
not designed to allow patients to transfer themselves alone. Failure to do so could
result in material damage or injury.
• position 1 (blue): tuck-away position,
• position 2 (blue): normal (egress) position,
• position 3 (yellow): patient transfer aid position,
• position 4 (red): “incorrect”, risk of bed tipping.
