6. Adjust the AVR Offset multi-turn potentiometer of the Second Zero expansion
until the voltage value generated by the generator set is at the required level. The
genset voltage signal measured is displayed on the screen.
7. Select the value 1 from the menu Maintenanceà
SynchronizationàAmplitudeàAdjustment.
8. The genset voltage signal must be less selecting the value 1 from the menu
MaintenanceàSynchronizationàAmplitudeàAdjustment than selecting the
value 0. In case that selection of the value 1 in said menu produces an increase
in the genset voltage (relative to the voltage for value 0), this indicates that the
voltage regulation ratio of the alternator plate is reversed; this ratio is xed via
parameter 1 of the Second Zero table.
9. Adjust the AVR Gain multi-turn potentiometer of the Second Zero expansion
until the voltage value generated by the generator set is at the minimum level
required. The genset voltage signal measured is displayed on the screen.
10. Select the value 2 from MaintenanceàSynchronizationà
AmplitudeàAdjustment.
11. Check that the adjustment made to the AVR Gain multi-turn potentiometer
has achieved the maximum value of genset signal voltage required.

12.3.1. ADJUSTMENT
The adjustment of generator set congurations is performed from the
Maintenance menuàSynchronization of the CEC7 control unit. In this menu it is
possible to perform maintenance both with regards the regulation of voltage as
well as phase/frequency.
The amplitude adjustment procedure is performed using the following steps:
1. Adjust the generator set voltage response to the signal required.
2. Connect the alternator regulation plate to the AVR connector of the Second
Zero expansion.
3. Start the generator set in manual mode.
4. Disconnect the genset contactor.
5. Select the value 0 from the menu Maintenanceà
SynchronizationàAmplitudeàAdjustment. The option which is ashing in the
Adjustment menu indicates that the genset is not stabilized or that the genset
contactor is active, hence impeding the procedure.
