3.3 Measurement

When performing contactless measurement, reflective
tape is applied to the measurement target. Contact mea-
surement is used to measure rotating objects that cannot
be stopped since it is impossible to apply reflective tape in
such applications. Please note that 19,999 r/min. is the
maximum rotational speed that can be measured.
2.
If the measured value is being held, press the [HOLD] key
to cancel the hold function.
3.
Orient the instrument so that the red light projector is per-
pendicular to the reflective tape.
If performing contact measurement, place the contact tip
or circumferential speed ring in contact with the measure-
ment target.
4.
Hold and read the measured value.

apparatus may introduce an error component
