How to fix insufficient engine power in my Hisun HS 400-4?
    • J
      Jay RogersAug 19, 2025
If your Hisun Offroad Vehicle has insufficient engine power, several factors could be responsible. Start by checking the fuel system to ensure sufficient fuel delivery. A clogged injector can restrict fuel flow, so clean or replace it. A faulty crankshaft position sensor can also cause this issue, so replace it if necessary. Additionally, check the air cleaner for clogs and clean or replace it as needed. Inspect the spark plug for dirt or fouling, and clean or replace it. Finally, a bad ignition coil can lead to reduced power, so consider replacing it.

Why does the starter not function on my Hisun HS 400-4?
    • S
      Shane WardAug 22, 2025
If the starter on your Hisun Offroad Vehicle isn't working, it could be due to a few reasons. If the battery has been overused to the point where the lights are dim, try charging the battery sufficiently. A poor terminal connection can also prevent the starter from functioning, so clean the terminal and tighten it securely. If the battery life has expired, you will need to replace it with a new one.

What to do if my Hisun HS 400-4 Offroad Vehicle engine overheats?
    • B
      bellrichardAug 26, 2025
If your Hisun Offroad Vehicle engine is overheating, there are several potential causes to investigate. First, check if the engine is overloaded; shift to a lower gear or reduce the load. Low coolant level can also lead to overheating, so fill the cooling system to the correct level and inspect the radiator and hoses for leaks. Ensure the motor-driven fan is functioning by checking the fuse and the electrical system. A dirty radiator core or grille screens can restrict airflow, so remove any trash. Finally, a corroded coolant flow route can impede cooling, so flush the cooling system.

How to improve gearshift agility on my Hisun HS 400-4?
    • K
      Krystal LopezAug 28, 2025
If you're experiencing non-agility with the gearshift on your Hisun Offroad Vehicle, several factors could be contributing. High idling speed of the engine can be a cause, so consider replacing the throttle cable, throttle petal, or the throttle itself. High rotary speed for clutch connection can also cause this, so replace the junior clutch spring or the primary clutch. Non-good adjustment for the gearshift stay wire can also cause this, so put the gearshift rod into the position of “N”, put the gearshift arm of the engine into “N”, adjust the stay wire and the bolt, and lock tightly. Lastly, gear abrasion can affect gearshift agility, so replace the gears if necessary.

Why does my Hisun Offroad Vehicle have less power?
    • P
      pcharlesAug 30, 2025
If your Hisun Offroad Vehicle has less power, it could be due to the parking brake being engaged; loosen the lay-up rod. Also it can be caused by CVT transmission sliding: remove the grease for the clutch, replace CVT transmission belt and clutch.

Why is my Hisun HS 400-4 making transmission noise?
    • M
      Meagan RossSep 2, 2025
If your Hisun Offroad Vehicle is making transmission noise, it could be due to several reasons related to the gears. It may be caused by big matching clearance for the inner and outside gears of the transmission shaft, big clearance of transmission gears, or non-good connection of the gear end face. In any of these cases, replace the gears.

Why does my Hisun HS 400-4 Offroad Vehicle battery look whitish?
    • N
      nstevensSep 7, 2025
If the plates of your refillable type battery look whitish when viewed from the top, it could be because the battery was used with an insufficient amount of electrolyte. Add distilled water and charge the battery. Alternatively, it may be due to the battery being used too much without recharging, in which case you should charge the battery insufficiently.
