Operating and charging the ancillary battery
Ifthemotorhomeisnotconnectedtothe230Vmainssupply,
theancillarybatterywillsupplytheelectricalsystemwith12V
DCvoltage.Sincethebatteryonlyhasalimitedcapacity,the
electricaldevicesshouldnotbeoperatedforalongerperiod
oftimewithoutchargingthebatteryorconnectingthecamper
tothe230Vmainsconnection.Someelectricaldevicescon-
tinuously use standby current from the ancillary battery. This
discharges the ancillary battery.

Battery Sensor*
AnIntelligentBatterySensor(IBS)hasbeenconnectedtothe
batteryterminal.Itmonitorstheactualcurrentandtheactual
voltageinahighlyprecisemanner.
Itispossibletopreciselypredeterminetheoperatingtimeof
thebatterybasedontheactualconsumption.TheIBSensures
that the battery will be changed in good time and assists in
providingactiveenergymanagementsothattheperformance
requirementsofthedierentelectricaldevicescanbecoordi-
nated with the charging of the battery.
