After cutting the seat , apply compound to the valve face and lap
the valve using light pressure.
After lapping. wash all residual compound off the cylinder head
and valve.
CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY

NOTE
Install new valve stem seals after disassembling.
Lubricate
each valve stem with oil and insert the valves mto the
guides.
Install the outer spring seal S, stem seals and inner springs.
Install the outer sp rings and retainers.
After '91
NOTE
Install new valve stem sea ls after disassembling.
Lubricate each v al ve stem wi th oil and insert the valves into
the guides.
Install the spring seats, stem seals, springs and retainers.
Install the valve cotters using the valve spring compressor .
CAUT ION
To prel'enlloss of lension, do not compress the I'alve springs more
than necessary to install the COllers.
