If the propeller is damaged, replace it as
follows:
l Before replacing the propel-
ler, remove the clip of the
emergency stop switch to
prevent accidental engine
starting.
l The propeller is thin and
sharp. To protect your
hands, wear the heavy
gloves during replacement.
Removal:
Remove the cotter pin then remove the
14 mm castle nut, 15 mm plain washer,
propeller and thrust washer.
COTTER PIN

Installation:
Install the thrust washer with the
grooved side toward the gear case, then
install the new propeller in the reverse
sequence of removal.
Hand tighten the castle nut until the 3
mm cotter pin can be installed. If
necessary, tighten the castle nut just
enough to align the hole with the groove
in the nut.
Use a new genuine Honda cotter pin and
bend the cotter pin ends as shown.
