Storage Position of the Outboard
Motor
Store the outboard motor either
vertically or horizontally as follows
with the tiller handle raised.
Vertical storage
1. Attach the stern brackets to a motor
stand and mount the outboard
motor to the brackets. (page 27).
2. Store the outboard motor with the
tiller handle raised.
Horizontal storage
Rest the outboard motor on the case
protectors.
(With tiller handle side of the
outboard motor upward)
Any other transport or storage
position may cause damage or oil
leakage.
