Brake

Brake
pad
wear
wil
depend
upon
the
severity
of
usage,
type
of
driving,
and
condition
of
the
roads.
It
may
be
ex-
pected
that
the
pads
will
wear
faster
on
dirty
and
wet
roads.
Inspect
the
pads
visually
during
all
regular
service
intervals
to
determine
the
pad
wear.
The
wear
of
the
pad
can
be
determined
by
measuring
the
inside
clearance
between
the
face
of
the
caliper
housing
and
the
brake
disc
by
pressing
the
inner
housing
toward
the
disc.
If
clearance
is
less
than
0.12
in.
(3.0
mm),
replace
both
pads
with
a
new
set.
NOTE:
Use
only
genuine
Honda
replacement
friction
pads
offered
by
authorized
Honda
dealers.
When
service
is
necessary
on
the
brakes,
consult
your
Honda
dealer.

a
drum
type.
Adjustment:
I.
Raise
the
front
wheel
off
the
ground
by
placing
a
support
block
under
the
engine,
spin
the
front
wheel
by
hand
and
measure
the
amount
the
front
brake
lever

must
be
moved
before
the
brake
starts
to
take
hold.
The
lever
free
play
©)
should
be
0.8—1.2
in.
