After '06: Check the jet needle for wear, nicks or other dam -
age.
If necessary. remove the jet needle from the needle
holder by removing the needle clip.
'05, '06: Remove the throttle shaft screw.
After '06: Remove the throttle shaft torx sc rew.
Lift up the throttle shaft arm and remove the thr ottle
valve assembly.
Remove the throttle valve plate and roller from the
throttle valva.
Check
the throttle valva, throttle valve seal, roller
and throttle valve plate f or scratches, wear or dam·
age.
Replace them if necessary.
CHOKE KNOB/THROTTLE SENSOR
Loosen the lock nut and remove the choke knob.
