The transmitter battery is discharged.

Keyless entry
does not work
The transmitter is operated too far from the
vehicle.
Operate the transmitter within the remote
control range.
(The keyless entry remote control range is set
to a shorter distance than the engine start/stop
remote control range.)
The ignition key is inserted in the ignition
switch.
The door is open.
