SERVICING YOUR PUMP
AIR FILTER INSPECTION
1. Unscrew the wing nut and remove the air cleaner cover. Check the air filter to
be sure it is clean and in good condition.
2. If the air filter is dirty, clean it as described on page 33. Replace the air filter if
it is damaged.
3. Reinstall the air cleaner cover, and tighten the wing nut securely.
Operating the engine without an air filter, or with a damaged air filter, will allow dirt
to enter the engine, causing rapid engine wear. This type of damage is not covered
by the Distributor’s Limited Warranty.
