Why is my Honeywell Dehumidifier not removing enough water?
    • D
      Dr. Patrick Trevino Jr.Jul 27, 2025
If your Honeywell Dehumidifier isn't removing as much water as you expect, here are some possible reasons: * The air temperature or humidity may have dropped. * The humidity meter or thermometer you're using might be inaccurate. * The unit could be in a defrost cycle. * The air filter might be dirty. * The defrost thermostat could be defective. * There might be a low refrigerant charge. * There could be an air leak due to a loose cover or ducting leaks. * The compressor might be defective. * The ducting could be restrictive. * The optional Condensate Pump Safety Switch might be open.

How to fix a Honeywell DR65A3000 Dehumidifier that is not providing ventilation?
    • K
      Katherine RitterJul 31, 2025
If your Honeywell Dehumidifier isn't providing ventilation, here are some things you can check: 1. Inspect the control wire connections, including those at the fresh air damper. 2. Ensure the fresh air damper isn't defective. 3. Make sure the air intake isn't dirty; clean the outside intake hood if necessary.

Why is my Honeywell Dehumidifier not turning on?
    • R
      renee13Aug 4, 2025
If your Honeywell Dehumidifier isn't dehumidifying and neither the fan nor the compressor are running, check the following: 1. Ensure the unit is plugged in and the outlet has power. 2. Verify the humidity control isn't set too high or is defective. 3. Look for loose connections in the internal or control wiring. 4. Check for a defective compressor relay. 5. Check for a defective control transformer. 6. See if the optional Condensate Pump Safety Switch is open.

What to do if the evaporator coil is frosted on my Honeywell DR65A3000 Dehumidifier?
    • M
      Matthew SmithAug 8, 2025
If your Honeywell Dehumidifier's evaporator coil is continuously frosted and the dehumidifying capacity is low, consider these possibilities: * The defrost thermostat might be loose or defective. * The refrigerant charge could be low. * The air filter(s) might be dirty, or the airflow could be restricted.

Why is my Honeywell DR65A3000 fan running but the compressor is not?
    • O
      oliviawebsterAug 13, 2025
If your Honeywell Dehumidifier fan runs but the compressor doesn't when dehumidification is needed, check the following: 1. A defective compressor run capacitor. 2. A bad connection in the compressor circuit. 3. A defective compressor overload. 4. A defective compressor. 5. An open defrost thermostat. 6. An open Optional Condensate Pump Safety Switch.

What to do if my Honeywell DR65A3000 compressor cycles on and off too frequently?
    • C
      Christina HarveyAug 17, 2025
If the compressor in your Honeywell Dehumidifier cycles on and off too frequently, here are a few things to check: 1. Low ambient temperature or humidity might be causing the unit to cycle through defrost mode. 2. The compressor overload could be defective. 3. The compressor itself might be defective. 4. The defrost thermostat could be defective. 5. Dirty air filters or restricted airflow could be the cause. 6. A low refrigerant charge might be causing the defrost control to cycle. 7. There could be a bad connection in the compressor circuit.

What to do if the fan doesn't run on my Honeywell Dehumidifier when ventilation is on?
    • N
      Nancy DavisAug 22, 2025
If the fan on your Honeywell Dehumidifier doesn't run when ventilation is activated, and the compressor runs briefly but cycles on and off, consider checking these items: 1. A loose connection in the fan circuit. 2. An obstruction preventing fan rotation. 3. A defective fan. 4. A defective fan relay. 5. A defective fan capacitor.
