4.1. Measurements/ Meter Features accessible from front panel
The LCD screen is available in the front panel of meter which offers an interface to display
important readings and setting up of various values. Bidirectional Measurement is done
using the E-Mon Class 6000 meter where import and export energy readings are available in
the front panel and the mobile application.
• Import Energy – Import energy refers to the total energy which is being consumed in
the electrical system. Users can check the import energy as per Navigation provided in
Section 4.2.
• Export Energy – Export energy is the total energy which is generated in the electrical
system and thus contributes to the total electrical energy in the system. This generated
energy can be checked using the navigation provided in section 4.4.1
• Demand Reading – The front panel and application provides demand reading in kW. It
is accessible using the front panel and the application and the users have been provided
with the maximum flow of power. The readings are available as Peak option in the front
panel. Refer to section 4.4.1
• Current Sensor Setup – The CS already comes with calibration, however in case of
changes value for CS the users can setup the new values using the setup menu options.
Refer to Section 3.3 Current Sensor.
• Power system setup – The users can monitor several parameters via the front panela as
well as the application. The values are displayed as Instant, Average, Minimum and
Maximum for all the readings. Refer to Section 4.4.2.
• Partial and Peak Reset – The meter allows you to perform partial reset of the peak values
by navigating to the setup menu using the navigation method as mentioned in section
4.4.3.
• Bluetooth connectivity – The users have accessibility to the meter front panel for
pairing it with mobile phones using Bluetooth connectivity. The pairing is done using
front panel navigation buttons and front panel display showing the ready to pair
message. Please refer to the Section 3.2.4 for details.
• Wiring Check – The meter enables wiring check alarm to flag faulty wiring through
‘Missing voltage’ and ‘PF Error’ message. LED indicators on the meter front panel
indicate critical alarm. Refer to section 3.2.6 LED Signals for LED behavior. The wiring
check alarm must be acknowledged before meter operation. Refer to section 5 Device
configuration for more information on wiring check.
• Setup Lock – The meter front panel is equipped with a setup sealing button for locking
the meter setup options. The red sealing button must be locked once the meter setup is
finished. Refer to section 3.2.2 Setup Sealing Button for more information on the setup
sealing, also refer to section 4.3.3. Setup Menu for the setup options.
