10.11 Ullage/Interface verication
The sensitivity of the instrument in ullage / interface cannot be
adjusted. Both ullage and interface levels are set at the factory.
Checking ullage and interface level detection
The test liquid should be the one to be gauged. Fill in a
container with appropriate liquid.
Switch on the unit. The buzzer shall beep every 2 sec.
If the liquid is conductive (alcohol, water, ...)
• Check the
ullage by immersing the ultrasonic gap sensor
but not the electrodes (position A); The buzzer shall beep
continuously.
• Check the
interface by immersing the interface electrodes
(position B). The buzzer shall beep intermittently.
If the liquid is non conductive (gasoline, oil, ...)
• Check the
ullage by immersing the sensor (position B); The
buzzer shall beep continuously.
• Check the interface by immersing the sensor (position B) in
water. The buzzer shall beep intermittently.
