Visual inspection for damaged or
missing parts
General condition:  missing parts
Display unit:   5-key control pad, buzzer, front face, 
LED, screen 
Sensing probe:   sensors broken, smashed or damaged 
Tape:   check at least the rst 3 m; wires still 
insulated, no breaks, no kinks, ...
Mechanical parts:  check housing, lid, axle, storage tube, 
wipers of tape cleaner, window wiper
