Figure 5.7 depicts a motorized damper in a dedicated system with the capability of
CLOSED control and verification of the OPEN and CLOSED
state, switch group type 3. In the above configuration, the CON
OFF⁄CL
CM is activated. The CON
OFF⁄CL
CM controls a normally closed con-
tactor for the damper open power line and a normally open contactor for the damper close power. When the CON
OFF⁄CL
CM is activated, the
normally closed contactor is opened and the normally open contactor is closed, thus supplying power to close the damper. When the damper
completely closes, the damper closed limit switch is closed, indicating that the damper is in the
CLOSED position. (When the damper is in the
open position, the damper open limit switch is closed.) The VER
OFF⁄CL
MM monitors when the damper closed limit switch is CLOSED. In this
case the VER
OFF⁄CL
MM is activated and the VER
ON⁄OP
MM is deactivated because the damper is CLOSED.
