MOUNTING
Whether you purchased a Bypass or Fan humidier will determine how your humidier will be installed:
Which humidier do you have?
Bypass:
Bypass humidiers use the pressure difference
between the supply and return to move duct
air through the humidier. Access to both the
supply and return are required. The bypass
humidier can be positioned on either the
supply or return duct.

Fan:
Fan humidiers use the fan inside the humidier
to pull duct air through the humidier. Honeywell
strongly recomends mounting the HE300 on
the supply duct for maximum humidication
capacity. If a return duct installation is required,
a trap must be installed in the drain line. A hard
trap is recommended, but a coil in the line,
secured with tape or zip tie, is also acceptable.
See Water Supply and Drain Connections
section for details.

Choosing a Mounting Method
Before beginning Mounting:
I have conrmed local codes for proper plumbing practices.
I have chosen an installation location that meets the requirements on page 4.
